Our expedition kicks off in the heart of Bangkok, where the echoes of ancient temples blend seamlessly with the vibrant rhythm of modern life. We’ll roam the grandeur of the Grand Palace and witness the serenity of Wat Pho, before being immersed in the artistry of flower garland-making in the middle of a bustling market. We’ll cap off the day with a feast for the senses at a rooftop restaurant, overlooking Bangkok's dazzling cityscape.

Venture deeper into Thailand's soul as we master the art of Joss paper crafting and uncover the culinary treasures of a local homestay. In the afternoon, the city is your playground. You’ll have a chance to explore bustling streets, unwind in a quiet cafe, or indulge in the traditional Thai massage. As the evening descends, we’ll glide along Bangkok's illuminated waterways, savoring the tranquility that precedes another day of discovery.

We will wander through the ancient capital ruins of Ayutthaya, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and be embraced by the warmth of a riverside homestay, sharing stories over a homemade dinner, where the gentle presence of elephants may grace us with their company.

DAILY ITINERARY

  • Bangkok

    Upon arrival, you’ll be picked up at the airport and taken to our hotel in the city center. After getting settled and having a good rest, we’ll start off with a group dinner at one of the city’s excellent restaurants.

  • Bangkok

    Today we’ll delve into the rich culture and history of Bangkok, starting with a guided tour of Wat Pho, famous for its massive Reclining Buddha, and Wat Phra Kaew, home to the sacred Emerald Buddha. After a leisurely lunch at a local restaurant, you'll have some free time—perfect for a quick rejuvenating Thai massage at the esteemed Wat Pho massage school or a visit to Wat Arun, admired for its stunning riverside architecture. Later in the day we'll immerse ourselves in the flower market for a garland-making class, where we’ll learn to create traditional Thai floral garlands, a significant part of local celebrations and decorations. This cultural experience will be complemented by a serene khlong boat ride through Bangkok's intricate network of canals. Our day will conclude with a relaxing dinner at a rooftop restaurant, where you’ll be able to savor some traditional Thai cuisine.

    Our day will begin with an engaging cooking class offering the chance to create some of Thailand's most beloved dishes. Under the guidance of a local chef, we’ll dive into the flavors and techniques of traditional Thai cuisine, preparing and savoring dishes such as Pad Thai, Green Curry, and Tom Yam Kung. After enjoying our culinary creations, the rest of the afternoon will be yours to explore Bangkok at your leisure. Whether you choose to wander through the bustling markets, discover the city’s numerous luxury malls, take a half-day trip to a nearby attraction, or indulge in a traditional Thai massage- you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy plenty of what this vibrant city has to offer.

  • Bangkok / Ayutthaya

    Today we're headed to Ayutthaya, the enchanting former capital of Thailand. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this ancient city is rich with history and culture. We'll wander through its remarkable temples and ruins, including Wat Mahathat, Wat Phra Sri Sanphet, and Wat Chaiwatthanaram, each revealing a piece of its illustrious past. After our tour we'll check into a comfortable 4-star hotel located in the heart of town. You'll have the rest of the evening to enjoy the quaint charm of Ayutthaya at your leisure. As evening falls, we'll enjoy a delightful dinner at one of the town’s renowned restaurants.

  • Ayutthaya / Bangkok

    After breakfast, we'll take the short drive from Ayutthaya back to Bangkok, where this post-trip extension will come to an end. For those with flights out on this day, you will be dropped off at the airport. For those spending an extra night in Bangkok, you will be dropped off at your hotel.

    *Important: If flying out on this day, please make sure your flight departs at 2:00pm or later in order to ensure there's enough time to catch your flight.

Accommodations

We’ll stay in comfortable and convenient 4 accommodations. There are 8 single rooms available on a first come-first served basis. The remainder of the rooms will be shared- two travelers per room in two single beds. All rooms have a private bathroom.

Physical Demands: Moderate 

This tour requires a moderate level of physical activity. Please note this trip can involve long days, being outside in potentially diverse temperatures, walking tours, long journeys, early morning wake-ups and other similar scenarios.

Group Size: 8-12 women
