Itinerary:
Day 1: Bangkok / Arrival Day
Upon arrival, you’ll be picked up at the airport and taken to our hotel in the city center. After getting settled and having a good rest, we’ll start off with a group dinner at one of the city’s excellent restaurants.

Day 2: Bangkok
Today, we're diving into Bangkok's vibrant culture and history. Our journey begins with a tour of the city’s main temples, starting at the Grand Palace, a breathtaking complex that was once the residence of Thai royalty. We'll then visit the majestic Wat Phra Kaew, home to the revered Emerald Buddha, followed by Wat Pho, renowned for its enormous Reclining Buddha. After soaking in these historic sights, we'll head to the vibrant flower market. Here, you'll not only interact with the locals but also engage in a hands-on workshop on flower garland making. The afternoon will then be yours to enjoy at your own pace. Whether you choose to delve into traditional Thai architecture at the Jim Thompson House or wander the lively streets of Chinatown, our local team will be on hand to assist. Our day will conclude with dinner at a superb rooftop restaurant known for its stunning view of Bangkok's cityscape.

Day 3: Bangkok
Our day begins with a deep dive into Thailand's spiritual traditions at a Joss paper workshop. Here, in the hands of a local artisan, you'll learn about and create Joss paper, also known as spirit money, a significant part of Asian customs used to honor ancestors and gods. Following this, we'll visit a friendly local homestay for an authentic Thai cooking class. You'll be cooking alongside our local friends, getting a real feel for traditional Thai cuisine as you prepare and then enjoy the dishes in a genuine home setting. After we've enjoyed our culinary creations, the afternoon will be all yours to keep exploring Bangkok. Whether it's meandering through a bustling local market, relaxing in a quaint café, or experiencing the soothing comfort of a traditional Thai massage, you'll have the perfect opportunity to unwind. As evening sets in, we'll come together for a tranquil boat ride along Bangkok's beautifully lit waterways, a peaceful way to end the day before we head back to our hotel.

Day 4: Bangkok / Ayutthaya
Today, we're off to Ayutthaya, Thailand's enchanting former capital. This ancient city, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a treasure full of history and culture. We'll stroll through its fascinating temples and ruins, like Wat Mahathat, Wat Phra Sri Sanphet, and Wat Chaiwatthanaram, each offering a glimpse into a past era. After our historical exploration, we'll check into a welcoming family-run homestay, immersing ourselves in the everyday life of the charming countryside. As the evening falls, we’ll hopefully catch a glimpse of the elephants hanging around by the river at sunset before we sit down for a homemade dinner.

Day 5: Ayutthaya / Bangkok / Ho Chi Minh City
Our day will begin with a short drive from Ayutthaya to Bangkok's airport.
For those who will continue to Vietnam, we will catch a 1.5-hour flight to the vibrant city of Ho Chi Minh. Upon arrival, we’ll be transferred to our hotel and have the rest of the day to relax and prepare for our Vietnam adventures that begin the following day.
Note: For those not continuing to Vietnam, this is where our Thailand tour wraps up. We'll bid farewell at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK). Please ensure that your departure flight is scheduled for after 2:00 PM.

On this tour, we’ll stay in comfortable and convenient 4* hotels, as well as one night on a highly-rated local homestay in Ayutthaya. 10 single rooms are available and offered on a first come-first served basis. The remainder of the rooms will be shared. Solo travelers will be paired together - 2 travelers per room, 2 single beds. All rooms have a private bathroom.

VERY IMPORTANT: Do NOT book your flights until we can confirm this departure. We need to meet the minimum number of participants (4) before confirmation. We will you know immediately when the trip is confirmed!
Payment Terms
Deposit: To secure your spot on this tour, a $500 deposit is required at booking. Our peace of mind policy ensures that this deposit is refundable for 10 days (minus a 3% transaction fee) or until 90 days before the tour starts, whichever comes first. After that, the deposit is non-refundable.
Balance: The payment balance will be due 90 days before the start of the tour.
Cancellations: If you cancel between 60-89 days before the tour start date you will receive a 50% refund of the balance amount, minus a 3% transaction fee. For cancellations made 59 days or less before the tour start date, the balance is non-refundable.
Travel Insurance
Travel insurance for this trip is required. Let’s face it, things happen. We recommend a policy with a “cancel for any reason” clause. Better safe than sorry. Reach out if you need help choosing insurance, or see our helpful resources.
Physical Demands - Is This Trip Right For You?
While the tour itself is not very strenuous, please note that it can involve the following: somewhat long days, walking tours, being outside in potentially diverse temperatures, a couple of long journeys, early morning wake-ups and other similar scenarios.
IMPORTANT It’s extremely important that you consider any pre-existing health conditions in determining if this trip is appropriate for you. In small group travel, it’s important to remember one woman’s health and well-being has the power to impact us all. Not sure? Let’s talk about it.
Dietary Considerations
If you have restrictive dietary requirements, we encourage you to reach out to us BEFORE booking to ascertain our ability to accommodate you in a way that suits your needs. While we can guarantee an awesome experience, we cannot necessarily guarantee a destination’s ability to provide nourishment to satisfy every diet.
OTHER IMPORTANT NOTES:
1) Do not book your flights until we’ve met the minimum number of participants required for this trip (8). We will notify you once we can confirm this departure.
2) Details in the day-to-day itinerary may be changed and tweaked as our arrival date draws near or during the trip itself. Rest assured, that any changes will serve only to further enhance and enrich the quality of the experience.
Limitation of Liability
The Women’s Travel Tribe shall not be liable for any damage/injury (physical or otherwise) to participants as a result of the physical activity performed during the trip, the consumption of alcohol, breakage of equipment and materials or for any other reason which, within the limits of professional diligence, could not have been foreseen or resolved. The organizer is not responsible for expenses (transportation, meals, hotels) not included in the program but necessary to reach the meeting point or to leave the finishing point on conclusion of the trip.
