Jewish Ghetto & Testaccio Street Art and Food Market
After breakfast, prepare yourself to discover a more intimate side of Rome, far from the touristic sites. Probably the most satisfying part of this tour is the peace and quiet you’ll experience and the knowledge that you’re seeing a different side to Rome than your average visitor will.
As the oldest Jewish community in all of Europe, this beautiful, thriving neighborhood is as central to the history of the city as it is to the Jewish faith. We'll walk through the Ghetto on foot and learn about its fascinating history.
Home to some of the city’s best eateries, there’s no better place to see Rome in all its authenticity than Testaccio. You’ll walk the streets of this charming Roman neighborhood with surprises around every corner.
Street art is plentiful in this post-industrial neighborhood and exudes the passion of artists including Blu, Axel Void, Sten&Lex, Roa, Iacurci, and Tellas and others who have made “Street Art” a respected movement in Berlin, London, Paris, New York, and of course, in Rome.
Then stop by the Testaccio market and street food shops where you can try traditional Roman specialties. Furnished with recommendations from your local guide, the hardest thing you may have to do today is decide where to eat, drink and shop next along these storied streets.
Your afternoon and evening are at leisure
INCLUDED: Accommodation, Breakfast, Jewish Ghetto & Testaccio Guided Tours
