SUMMER IN ABRUZZO!

July 7th - 13th, 2024

Just a short drive from Rome is a place that just might be one of the greenest regions in Europe. It boasts three National Parks and many protected areas with residents that include bears, wolves, lynx and Golden Eagles. Abruzzo spans from the Apennine mountains to the Adriatic Sea, which means that you can admire the highest mountains of this range, the Corno Grande, directly from the coast.

This variety of landscapes and seascapes is one of many reasons it makes a gorgeous destination for The Women’s Travel Tribe. Abruzzo and her four provinces - Teramo, L’Aquila, Pescara and Chieti - have a diverse gastronomic heritage that includes wine, pasta alla chitarra, extra-virgin olive oil, cheeses, salami, truffle, saffron, and fish soups.

Traveling with the Tribe to Abruzzo means you’ll visit these incredible destinations not as a stranger, but as a friend. Fabrizio, our local tour operator, and his family have called the city of Vasto home for centuries. They regard us as family and welcome us into their homes and their lives throughout the entirety of the trip.

Abruzzo and her people, The Abruzzese, offer you an experience guaranteed to reawaken your senses and provide an unforgettable Italian holiday!

CHECK OUT ONE OF MANY RAVE REVIEWS FOR THIS TRIP:

My recent trip with The Travel Tribe to Abruzzo with Italia Sweet Italia and Fabrizio was the highlight of the year. Fabrizio’s knowledge and connections with so many locals allowed us to visit sites and homes to have amazing experiences that you could never have traveling on your own. We were welcomed by his family and friends and treated not only as honored guests but as extended family. Each day was filled with unique adventures and experiences and an abundance of excellent food and, of course, lots of local wines:) I highly recommend this trip to anyone who loves to travel outside of the normal touristy areas and enjoys immersing themselves in the local culture with and excellent guide! Grazie Mille!
