GEORGIA & ARMENIA

JUNE 25 - JULY 7, 2025

Once tucked away within the Soviet Union, Georgia and Armenia are now yearning to be discovered and have become easily accessible to the intrepid traveler. Like precious treasures buried beneath the surface, they patiently await the curious souls who seek to venture into the unknown.

Despite sharing a border, these two countries boast distinct cultural identities that make either destination an outstanding adventure and the combination of both a truly enriching experience.

In Armenia, we will immerse ourselves in the history of ancient temples and hillside monasteries. We’ll visit the “Zorats Karer,” sometimes referred to as Armenian Stonehenge, stay in the picturesque spa town of Dilijan, known as the Switzerland of Armenia and so much more! We will also dive into the history of the tragic Armenian genocide of the early 20th century, in which 1.5 million Armenians perished. The friendly locals multiply the charm of this country, creating a welcoming and inviting place to explore. Everywhere we visit, we'll find superb craftsmanship and fascinating artifacts showcasing Armenia's rich artistic heritage.

Georgia presents a different, yet equally captivating, allure with vineyard-dotted landscapes, rural communities and the vibrant city of Tbilisi. Pristine nature covers a vast majority of the country, with more than 26,000 rivers and over 40 protected areas. Georgia’s beautiful and varying landscapes might easily convince any traveler with an affinity for the outdoors to add this magnificent country to their bucket list.

Together, Armenia and Georgia offer a harmonious blend of ancient traditions, natural beauty, and cultural richness that make for an unforgettable trip, especially when you experience it with The Women's Travel Tribe!

DID YOU KNOW?

The friendly people of Georgia do not actually refer to their country as Georgia? Instead, they call it Sakartvelo. Similarly, their language is not known as Georgian, but rather Kartuli, with its own unique alphabet. And when it comes to identifying themselves, Georgians call themselves Kartvelebi. This unique aspect of their culture showcases the deep-rooted traditions and history embedded in this Eastern European region of South Caucasus.

DID YOU KNOW?

The ancient country of Armenia was the first to adopt Christianity as its state religion or that the first church in the world was built there? Or that Armenia is one of the only mono-ethnic countries in the world? Or that Yerevan, its capital city, is one of the oldest cities in the world? Even older than Rome!
